Nature Takes Flight: Winged Creatures, Real & Imaginary

Past Exhibit
May 1, 2019 – July 31, 2019

For millennia, the mysteries of flight were beyond human understanding or capability. Yet, for other species, flight has always been an integral aspect of life. From tiny beetles to soaring birds of prey, the natural ability to fly is a necessity and has been featured as a common thread within the folk tales told by humans.  This exhibit featured lavishly illustrated books depicting real and imagined flying creatures.
