From Homer to E.E. Cummings: Poetry in the Noel Collection

April 10, - July 7, 2023
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Spring was here and this year the James Smith Noel Collection chose to highlight poetry ranging from the classics of Homer to the modernists like E.E. Cummings. We were also displaying some Louisiana poets, dialectic poems, and an Icelandic Edda. Revisit the sonnets of Poe, Coleridge, and Luis de Camoes -- and read through a few ballads from Thomas Percy, the Tale of Robin Hood, and Lord Alfred Tennyson. Come visit us at the Noel Collection to share in our joyous celebration through song and verse any time of year.
